Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Assistive tool notice

tone2emoji is an assistive communication tool that provides AI-generated tone cues. Outputs may be imperfect, incomplete, or wrong.

2. Medical disclaimer (critical)

• tone2emoji is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or treatment service.
• It does not provide medical, psychiatric, or psychological advice.
• Do not use tone2emoji as a substitute for professional clinical judgment or care.
• If you need medical or mental health support, contact a qualified professional.

3. Apple Standard EULA and usage rules

If you downloaded tone2emoji from the Apple App Store, your license is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:

Use of the app must also comply with Apple App Store usage rules and Apple Media Services terms.

4. Eligibility and account

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your account credentials and activity.

5. Subscriptions and in-app purchases (StoreKit)

tone2emoji offers:

• Auto-renewable subscriptions: Lite, Plus, Max
• Consumable minute packs (one-time purchases)

For auto-renewable subscriptions:

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings in the App Store.

For consumable minute packs:

• Minute packs are one-time consumable purchases.
• They do not auto-renew.
• They are consumed as eligible app usage occurs.

6. Billing and refunds

All billing, subscription management, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store. tone2emoji cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use tone2emoji for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the app beyond rights allowed by law.
• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with service integrity or security.

8. Privacy

Your use of tone2emoji is also governed by our Privacy Policy at /privacy.

9. Service availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time to improve safety, quality, or compliance.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, tone2emoji is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tone2emoji is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made based on app outputs.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if required for legal/security reasons.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed as required by applicable law and, where applicable, by the law framework referenced in Apple's Standard EULA, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
